ABOUT THE BAND

Break-Away Project

Insects of the Underground was formed in September 2008. The band was formed to promote a musical direction that was pulling me (Aaron Calhoun) away from my AAA roots, and into a looser, experimental ground. The project also allows space for more traditional writing as well as a never-ending musical journey.
Two albums have been released by Insects of the Underground. The first, Mind Matter, and the latest, Causa Sui (Cause of itself). Multiple singles have been released in 2020 and even more, will be released throughout 2021.
